Sarah’s Story
In August 1999 in Hampshire, England, I married the love of my life Roderick Nerva at a Registry Office in Bournemouth and in a Handfasting in Sway. More than a quarter of a century later we are still going, stronger than ever.
On our special day we did it our way: in period costumes, with a variety of rituals, dancing, and celebration inspired by different wedding rites – including handfasting in the forest and jumping the broomstick.
Our wedding was professional, alternative, and creative, and it was completely ours.
